[ as much as he loves lil cal, he's always going to prioritize dave's comfort so he's happy to keep doing it.

Looks like a simple substitution cipher. Maybe Caesar or Vigenére.
[ he leans back, seemingly staring straight ahead at nothing while in actuality he's navigating around the computer in his shades. ]
Let me see if I can compose a quick program to run it through. It could save a lot of time.
