okay lemme start off your hmd with a general compliment??? your tags are very nice and give me plenty of material to work off of but i really enjoy your interpretation of dirk cause sometimes people make him too expressive, too clingy and even too self-loathing (which i mean ya he hates himself but people can go overboard on that and just hyperfocus on it??) but i think you've done a good job balancing it all out with all of his introspection. it's hard to sometimes get the message across when your character can sometimes be more stoic but i've been following pretty well in our current thread.. and btw i'm actually living because dirk actually said it usually folks just wanna brush past that and make everything rainbows and sunshine and not problematic at all..
SO YEAH word on the street is you're interesting in heading to awash which is actually why i was dusting off jake on the picture prompt meme so we have come the full circle and i hope we both end up apping and getting in cause it's been enjoyable ♡ keep it up!
aklsgsj oh my gosh, thank you so much!?!? that's such a great relief to hear, i'm so very new to homestuck and dirk is a pretty complex dude whose stoicism doesn't make things easier so i'm very glad i'm doing something right! he's just such a fascinating character to me... and oh god, emotional conflicts are so my jam and given the way they've both grown up and with how they deal with solitude in such vastly different ways, it makes sense to me that their relationship went the way it did in canon. i really enjoy exploring that and digging into the problematic side of it so our thread is like a dream come true for me tbh, thank you for that!!
BUT THAT'S RIGHT i've got my eye on awash and to hear that you do too makes me all the more excited, i'll definitely be trying my hardest to get in! your jake is such a delight to bounce off of and his voice is incredibly spot-on, nothing would make me happier than getting to play more with your jake (especially in a game setting) ♥♥♥
YEAH i knew ty from cerealia and some other people who are playing from other canons in awash so i put another character in awash but he isn't quite working out?? so i was like hmmm i mean i could join the homestucks?? maybe?? but that would require re-reading (which i just finished LMFAO) but man his voice jumped back to me scarily fast so i guess jake has a 6 month paid now and i'm mad about that tbh.. but that is what i was doing on bakerstreet so i think it's funny we both are looking at the same game laughs..
anyway if all else fails we can always meme around or psl and stuff.. i also play lil hal so i know that's always fun to throw at dirks since its a rare find..

LMAO this is definitely an amazing coincidence, lucy's the one who enabled me on the EMP meme when i went looking for a place to throw dirk at after finishing my first read-through of homestuck. i'm rereading act 6 now (because devouring all of homestuck in the span of about two weeks sure makes all the details go fuzzy fast...) so i'll be prepared for the tdm when it comes around.
and for sure!! i mean, i feel like homestucks in general are a dying breed but oh my god yes, i love lil hal... excellent taste in characters, A+
